Good morning and happy Thursday!
We have one week of school left! Our last full day of school is next Thursday, May 23rd. We'll conclude the year with a half day on Friday, May 24th, dismissing at noon. The kids will have a morning full of fun games and activities. Some of the games include water, so it would be a good idea to send along a towel or a change of clothes. Some students even wear their bathing suits under their athletic clothes. It is completely up to you!
Our field trip to the Houston Zoo is tomorrow! We will leave school promptly at 8am, so please don't be tardy! I have the following parents down for chaperoning: LeTicia Johnson, Tiffany Haines, Heather Davis, Katie Brown, Nicole Flies, Rebecca Isbell, Marshall's Aunt Natalie, and Teacomsia- thank you!!
Due to our field trip, there won't be a Show and Tell tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who signed up to bring items for Kindergarten Graduation! You can send the items on the morning of the 22nd, or bring it the ceremony at night. I'm looking forward to the service, but I'm also getting very emotional! It's so hard to believe that the school year is coming to an end.
Next week we'll be finishing up all our units, taking End-of-the-Semester tests, and preparing for graduation.

Here is the schedule for next week:
** Monday, May 20th: school as normal
** Tuesday: May 21st: school as normal
** Wednesday, May 22nd: school as normal, followed by Kindergarten graduation at 6:30. The kids should be in the classroom by 6:15 to get their caps and gowns on. Following the ceremony, we'll have a reception of snacks in the commons area.
** Thursday, May 23rd: school as normal. We will be cleaning out our cubbies and the classroom. Please send a bag(s) for your kiddo to bring home his/her things! Closing service/8th grade graduation at 6:30. The kids sing in the service! Wednesday dress code is NOT required for singing.
** Friday, May 24th: Half-day of school with Cougar Olympics! Noon dismissal.

If you want to order a school yearbook, see this week's Paw-Prints and get it ordered. The deadline to order is tomorrow!
Have a great day and we'll see you tomorrow morning!
