Good morning parents,
We are 6 days away from Kindergarten Graduation! The kids and I are so excited for you to see our (short) program and celebrate this special occasion! Thank you for signing up to bring food for the reception following the program. You can drop the food off in the morning to me at school, or bring it with you in the evening.
Our graduation program is next Wednesday, May 23rd at 6:30pm. I would like the kids to be here by 6:10 to get dressed and ready to go! I have graduation robes for the kids to wear, so you can dress them however you would like for underneath. In years past, some parents have dressed their kids in church like clothes and others have let them wear comfortable clothes- it's totally up to you!
Next week we'll be wrapping up our final lessons and units. I will send home their Red folder on Monday (as usual) and everything else will come home on Thursday. If you can, send a plastic/paper bag so they can bring home their art boxes, folders, and papers!
Next Thursday, May 24th if the 8th grade graduation and closing service. The kids will be singing in the service, so if you're unable to make it, email me. The service starts at 6:30. They will sit with you and be called up to the front of church to sing when it's the right time.
Next Friday, is our last day of school (with a noon dismissal). The students will spend the morning with their Cougar Pal team- traveling from game to game, participating in "Cougar Olympics". It's a great way to end the school year, and I know they'll have a great time! They should wear their field trip t-shirt and comfortable bottoms. Some of the games include water, so you may want to send a towel or change of clothes. We won't have snack that day, but feel free to send a water bottle along for them!
Their final report card will be sent home Friday at pick-up line!

Bible passage encouragement for the week: Call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you and you will honor me.

  Have a wonderful day!

Bible passage encouragement for the week: John 15:

I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

  Have a tremendously wonderful Thursday!
