Hello!

I figured it was better for me to send this today instead of tomorrow, considering tomorrow is our last day of school for the week! We have off Friday, April 19- Monday, April 22nd. School will resume on Tuesday, April 23rd. Tomorrow's Show and Tell is for the letter J.

Next week Friday will be First Grade Readiness Testing with Mrs. Patterson. She'll spend the morning with the Kindergartners, gauging where they are academically. Once she gets them graded and everything recorded, she'll share those results with you. There is nothing for you to prepare for, just bring your child to school like normal! While the kids are being tested for 1st grade, I will be administering Kindergarten Readiness Tests to the 4 year olds at our preschool.

I will be out of the classroom Monday & Tuesday (April 29th & 30th) and Mrs. Laura Head will be subbing for me. I'll be traveling to Florida to check on houses and meet some of my future co-workers. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

The church attendance form listed Easter Sunday as a day for the kids to sing, but they are NOT singing this Sunday. We will have worship services at 7am, breakfast at 8am, and another worship opportunity at 10:30am.

Next week we'll be working on the following:

** Christ light ** Easter Evening, Doubting Thomas, & Jesus and the Catch of Fish
** Memory Treasure ** Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17
** Math ** Number Bonds to 10
** Super Kids ** The Letter J
** Phonics ** Word Structures: Syllables/ Packet #10
** Science ** with Mrs. Carlovsky
** Music ** with Mrs. Patterson
** PE ** with Mrs. Hildebrandt
** Choir ** on Wednesdays from 1:30-2pm
** Technology ** with Mrs. Carlovsky
** Art ** Fingerpaint Crosses

  Important Upcoming Calendar Events:
** Friday- Monday, April 19-22: NO SCHOOL
** Thursday, April 25th: Field Trip to Houston's Museum of Natural Science

Bible Encouragement for you this week: For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20

We have an upcoming field trip on Thursday, April 25th to the Houston Museum of Natural Science (look for more information to come) and then our last field trip of the year will be on Friday, May 10th to the Houston Zoo. Please click on the link to sign up! Zoo Field Trip Permission Form
