** Monday- Friday, February 11th-15th: Hearts for Jesus Week
Our annual "Hearts for Jesus" week begins On February 11th through the 15th.  As a school,
we are rallying together to collect money to support the WELS Christian Aid and Relief for
digging wells in Africa. This is a time that allows our Abiding Word family to thank God for all
of the blessings which he has given us, and then to use our resources to reach out and share the
good news of Jesus with others across the world.  This year we will, once again, be having
a penny war competition between our Cougar Pal teams to see which team is able to raise the
most money for this project. Students are encouraged to bring in pennies for their own team's
jar, and other coins and dollars for other team's jars.
Thank you for helping to support this project!
** Monday- Friday, February 18-21: Spirit Week
    Monday: Career Day
   Tuesday: Literary Character/ Superhero Day

Bible Encouragement for you this week: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3

On Sunday, January 27th, I received a call to serve as the Special Education teacher
at Divine Savior Academy in Doral, FL. A call is a term our church body uses for another job opportunity.
Abiding Word has been my home for the past 7 years, and I feel fortunate to serve here.
It is such a wonderful blessing to know that everyday the Gospel is taught and children hear
how much Jesus loves them. The harvest fields are ripe, and I look forward to determining
where I can best serve our Lord with the talents He has given me. I find comfort as I deliberate
in this passage from Romans 15:13, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the
Holy Spirit.” I welcome any conversations and would appreciate your prayers over the
coming weeks.

If you have any questions regarding the call, please don't hesitate to ask!

  Have a terrific day!
