Good morning parents,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and an enjoyable break. I really enjoyed my time in Michigan with my family, but was so happy to see the kids and be back in the classroom. Thank you for donating food items to our school food drive before the break- as a school we were able to donate 418 pounds worth of food!
Typically, we have the students participate in a book exchange for our Christmas party on the last day of school before the Christmas break. This year, in lieu of an exchange, we would like to collect money to buy Christmas gifts for kids in need. If you feel so inclined, you can send a monetary gift to school. You can put it in their Green or Red folder for me to collect! Thank you in advance :)
Tomorrow's Show and Tell is for the letter T. We're finishing our letter T books in Super Kids today, but we'll have one more Show and Tell for that letter! Our Children's Christmas Service is on Saturday, December 22nd @ 3 pm. Please continue working on the Christmas Recitations with your child!

Next week we'll be working on the following:
** Christ light ** The Death of John the Baptist & Jesus Teaches Simon
** Memory Treasure ** There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
** Math ** Patterns
** Super Kids ** Frits and the letter F
** Science ** with Mrs. Carlovsky
** Social Studies ** Occupations Unit
** Phonics ** Final e CVCe packet
** Sight Words ** Sight Word Packet #1
** PE ** Basketball with Mrs. Hildebrandt
** Art ** Snowflakes
** Music ** with Mrs. Patterson
** Technology ** iPads and Chromebooks with Mrs. Carlovsky

  Important Calendar Items:
** Friday, December 21st: Half day of school (noon dismissal)
** Saturday, December 22nd: Children's Christmas Service at 3 pm.

  Bible encouragement for the week:
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:28
What grace that God extends to us! We need not live in fear, but cling to the hope of everlasting life with him in Heaven!

  Have a terrific day
